The Prince of Wales Plans to Join UN Climate Conference in Brazil
The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in Brazil during November, as announced by palace sources.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception ahead of the climate summit, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.
Father and son were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a pre-COP30 gathering arranged together with the British authorities.
Environmental Advocacy Dedication
King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of environmental conservation - and Prince William has taken on the baton, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be held in Brazil preceding the climate conference.
Official representatives have portrayed William's involvement at the next COP as taking on an crucial position in "global climate discussions".
Recent Engagements
The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the royal vehicle, were welcomed participants featuring conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.
This involvement featured addresses in concert with French leader Macron of France and other global statesmen at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco in recent months.
Environmental Prize Connection
The COP30 summit will coincide with the William's personal sustainability recognition program, which will wrap up in the Brazilian city the eve of he participates in the climate conference on 6 November.
Recently the William described the Earthshot finalists as "heroes of our time".

King Charles has been a key figure at previous climate summits, providing the introductory remarks in the United Arab Emirates for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the statement: "The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth".
"For decades I've committed a substantial portion of my life trying to warn of the survival risks facing us over global warming, global temperature increases and biodiversity loss," the monarch informed attendees.
